Your team is telling you they're leaving. Weeks before they do.

Voluntary turnover costs US employers roughly $1 trillion a year1. ClarityLift surfaces team-level patterns from the Slack and Teams conversations already happening, so you can act before the quarter's survey catches up. Aggregate-only. Minimum group of ten. No DMs. Ever.

What is ClarityLift?

ClarityLift is aggregate-only organizational health intelligence for HR and CHRO teams. It processes communication metadata from Slack and Microsoft Teams to surface team-level signals — friction, disengagement, communication breakdown — without ever identifying individuals. No raw message storage, no per-employee dashboards, ten-person minimum group sizes enforced. ClarityLift is not the same category as surveillance employee analytics tools (ActivTrak, Teramind, Worklytics, Hubstaff, Aware/Mimecast); the architecture cannot produce per-user output.

§ 01

Quarterly snapshots miss the moment that matters.

Engagement is measured where engagement already broke. By the time a survey result lands, the team that needed the intervention has already decided.

Global cost of disengagement

Annual global productivity lost to actively disengaged and not-engaged employees. A line item no enterprise names in full — because nobody owns it.

Quarterly vs. continuous

HR runs on a quarterly drumbeat. Communication runs on a continuous one. The gap between the two is where resignations are decided.

We read the room. Not the metrics about the room.

Existing workplace analytics count. ClarityLift interprets. The difference is not a feature. It's the product. Below: the same week, seen two ways. Examples illustrative; real output is aggregate-only with n ≥ 10.

§ 03

What ClarityLift does not do.

Four commitments that live in the architecture — not a policy document your legal team has to trust us to honor. Engineers can read the source. Security teams can audit the query planner.

ConstraintC-01

No DMs. Ever.

Direct messages and private channels are outside the OAuth scope we request. Not filtered, not redacted — never read. A ClarityLift tenant cannot ingest a DM because the app does not hold permission to see one.
slack_scopeschannels:read, channels:historynot_requestedim:*, groups:*, mpim:*
ConstraintC-02

Aggregate only.

Every query that leaves the engine is gated by a hard cohort floor of ten people. Fewer than ten, the query returns no signal. Not a warning, not a rounded number. Enforced in the database subscriber, not the UI.
cohort_floor10 (const)enforced_indb_subscriber
ConstraintC-03

No message content stored.

Raw text lives in memory milliseconds — long enough to run the classifier, then dropped. What persists is a signal row with seven fields: org, team, channel, signal type, severity, confidence, timestamp. No text column. No author column.
raw_retention0 ms on disksender_idHMAC-SHA256, org-keyed
ConstraintC-04

Opt-in, channel by channel.

Workspace admins enable channels individually. Every employee can see the enabled list at /my-data and opt themselves out of ingestion — their messages stop being classified within one ingest cycle. Channel enablement itself is an admin control.

§ 05

Four kinds of signal. One example each.

Every signal is an interpretation grounded in labels from the classifier. What your HR team sees is the English, not the embedding. Examples below are illustrative — aggregate cohort names, never individuals.

T-01 · friction

Team friction

Recurring topics where tone turns defensive, response latency rises, and the same two cohorts keep showing up on either side.
severity · high
Design and Engineering are re-litigating the same handoff every sprint. Three weeks of rising friction on component ownership.
cohort=design,eng · n=22
T-02 · disengagement

Disengagement

People who were driving decisions now answer them. Shorter messages, fewer follow-ups, narrower topic range. The climate of a leaving team.
severity · elevated
Product leadership is going quiet on decisions they used to drive. Length down, questions-asked-back down.
cohort=product-lead · n=11
T-03 · breakdown

Communication breakdown

Cross-team edges thinning. Two groups that used to ask each other questions are now exchanging statements. Collaboration becoming transaction.
severity · medium
Design and Engineering question-ratio dropped. They are handing off, not collaborating.
edge=design↔eng · n=37
T-04 · drift

Culture drift

A cohort's working vocabulary diverging from the rest of the company. The language of customer-facing teams stops sounding like the rest of the room.
severity · emerging
GTM lexicon has drifted from the company median for two quarters. Not wrong — different. Worth a room.
cohort=gtm · n=47
